What causes air bag warning light to periodic flash?

What is your question?

It started after a right front end car accident and that's the same side indicated on panel. Auto body shop hooked it to the a machine and it coded a BO116. Have it in the Dealership now, but being a woman I don't want to get ripped off. Thanks to all who can help.
