AC worked Great last summer. This year only blows Hot air. Mechanic friend added Freon, still only Hot air.

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Let's keep the hot air in the balloons and out of your car's cabin! The A/C system in your Camry could be blowing hot for many reasons. Did your mechanic buddy add refrigerant via a can or an A/C machine? The cans offer a quick fix, but automotive HVAC systems are finicky and require a measured charge. It may not blow cool air if it's slightly low or overcharged. There's also the possibility of a leak in the system, a failed compressor clutch, or other issues.
