Power steering has been leaking slowly for several months

You need to check clamps and hose coming from the reservior to the pump. That is found on the left side of the engine compartment. You can remove the left front tire and look at the power steering pump and look for fluid and then try to pin point at pump. Another possible leak source would be the steering rack. Again go for the easy hose connection, then the main unit itself. Cost is about $200 pump from Rockauto.com and the rack is about $170. This is a good all day job by a DIYer with tool experience or $600 labor from a shop plus 20% markup on parts, like $ 1,000.
