why does my 2 engine coil keep going bad? where is it located on my car?

Very possible. As this vehicle is equiped with a coil-on-plug slave system, that there is a wire problem. This car has on 3 coils and 3 wires. Each coil powers 2 cylinders. One would have to test work spark on each cylinder and work backwards. It sounds like a mis-diagnosis to me.

I suspect the wiring to the coil is frayed and shorting somewhere probably around the engine/valve cover somewhere. The coils around this year did give problems.
