won't start

After trying various troubleshooting suggestions, I finally discovered that it was a faulty brake light switch. Even though the brake was depressed the faulty switch failed to recognize the brake was being applied, therefore it would not allow the starter button to work. This was much to my joy, as a brake light switch costs much less than a starter motor or a starter solenoid and is much easier to replace.
