Hey, my name is Dusty and I'm one of the auto experts with RepairPal's Car Genius team here to help! If you've noticed a loss of coolant but haven't been able to locate the source of the leak, then you may have a cylinder head gasket failure. With a head gasket failure coolant can enter the combustion chamber and be burned, leaving no trace of coolant other than some degree of white smoke in the exhaust. A compression test (and if necessary a leak-down test) may be necessary to pinpoint the failure.
