What is your question?
We had our O2 sensors replaced bc the engine light was on. Ever since then the car engine revvs when driving or idiling. The check engine light is off however. Not sure why this is happening.
How long has your 2001 Toyota 4Runner had this problem?
A couple weeks. Ever since the sensors were replaced.

Hey there! I'm Dusty, part of the RepairPal Car Genius team. It's great to meet you! Even though the check engine light is off, which usually means all's clear, that's not always the case. There can still be codes (and valuable data) in a pending state that the engine control module hasn't confirmed yet Some possible causes could be; a vacuum leak, clogged or malfunctioning idle air control valve, incorrectly installed O2 sensors (particularly if your 4Runner's sensors are bolt-in), dirty mass air flow sensor, potential fuel delivery problems like a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump If things haven't smoothed out, it might be time to call a pro. They've got the tools and know-how to dig deeper and find the problem, ensuring your 4Runner runs like a dream again.
