How to turn off burglar alarm on 1997 Toyota 4runner
What is your question?
Remote key will not work when I try to turn off alarm to my car. I have 1997 Toyota 4Runner and the alarm goes off when the car has NOT been armed by my remote. I can’t start the car because remote will not turn off alarm.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Doesn’t matter. Alarm goes off at random, even without setting the alarm.
How long has your 1997 Toyota 4Runner had this problem?
On and off for several years. Had stopped for a long time and recently the alarm goes off again.

Hello, sounds like a non-factory alarm that has been added. As such, I'd suggest you find out who manufactured and installed the alarm and seek guidance from those folks.
