fuel pump replaced won't start

yes, I agree, check to see that the distributor rotor is turning properly when you crank the engine.

why was the pump replaced? did you remove the negative terminal before replacing the pump? if not check your fuses and relays. also check if the fuel pressure is enough, your new pump could be defective. if your timing was off you will hear a horrible noise or backfire when the engine is turning or won't turn at all.
