HI, I have a '92 hilux surf 3l V6. its got a rough idle and will stall on me, and wont start after that. not sure how to go about finding the problem.any advice is much appreciated, Cheers

when i turn the key none of the lights on the dashboard light up, it kinda sounds like the 'choke is on' if it was a chainsaw or mover. its just not quite turning over when i try to start it.

What makes this problem better or worse?

its unpredictable, idles high then low to the point it almost stalls, or does.
