Hello, brake lights are turned on when the brake light switch at the brake pedal is triggered. You'll need a working, properly adjusted switch, a wiring connector to the switch that is intact, not overheated and not damaged, a fuse that is not blown, and good bulbs in the sockets. If all of that seems OK, then circuit testing is required to see what is going on between the switch and the sockets.
