the part I have is a 2 pin. I need to identify the name of the part if it's not the crankshaft sensor...i'm not even sure if this is the part I need. Car tries to crank, but won't fully turn over. I replaced 2 back O2 sensors already... how can I include a picture? can you send an email address
do this.go to autozone.com,enter your vehicle info where it says add vehicle.click on engine management and it will show you several sensors.when you click on one of them,it will show you a picture of the exact part and how many pins or blades it has when you scroll down to item description.you can click on the part and blow it up to a larger picture,or you can do a search in the search box(example)>(coolant temperature sensor).where is the part you have, mounted at on the engine that you think is the crank sensor?reply back.
I found out the part is a dealer part only, but they do not have a picture of it... I will have to spend $125 for the dealer to order the sensor, and hope it fits my car. The problem is I have a type n36A engine, which is making it difficult to find a compatible part. My husband took the part off, so I will have to get him to describe where it came from.. I'm not even sure of the exact problem. I'm in the process of having it towed to a shop for evaluation. Could it also be the timing chain? I've read several posts of that common issue. I'm about to tow this car to the salvage yard and start over!
if you could tell me what the sensor is called i could most likely find it.i do see several complaints on this vehicle.several say the timing chain snaps/breaks!most vehicles with chains instead of belts usually last the life of the vehicle and require no service, unless they rattle or start making a noise.this one is different,to many complaints about the chain, some say still owing $8000.00 on it,then having to pay a few thousand to repair it,or junk it!see, copy and paste the link below.
