Ac making a loud scraping noise even when not on

What is your question?

My a/c started blowing hot air.. my son's friend ,a mechanic recharged it, now it makes an awful scraping sound even when it's off..did not do this before he recharged it..also did oil change at same time using 10w not 5 w as recommended....nothing leaks and runs fine except for awful noise
