They only go off when the car is turned off bad enough but now the seat belt signal has started to come on occasionally please any ideas would help ???

Clean the drivers seat belt buckle by spraying WD-40 into the cavity, work the release button a bit and then blow it out with compressed air.... do this a few times... i have had good luck with it!!!! ...The two warnings lights are connected... if a malfunction in the buckle is detected, both lights will come on... a lot of the time it is just gummed up or dirt injested..... may need help from a shop for air and blow gun...
There is a recent recall for your concern that involves replacement of front seat sensors, check with a dealer, the repairs will be done at no cost to you.
