The only times I have ever seen check engine lights fail to illuminate with ignition position ON/RUN have been: ECU failure, blown bulbs, bad cluster. Testing on this needs to be done by a profession, but you may have activated an anti-theft feature. When you pulled out the battery, did you replace it? Did it sit out for white a while?
IF the vehicle battery was removed and later re-installed - there is a very good possibility the battery cables came in contact with the battery post in the wrong order (reversed polarity) .. Suggest TESTING ALL of the fuses you can find on the vehicle... This can easily be done using a test light, testing ALL of the fuse only takes a few minutes... â–ªï¸IF unfamiliar with this type of auto repair, seek hands-on help from repair savvy personnel.â–ªï¸
No I did not replace the battery. after a while I connected to terminal again. They stole my ecu with one terminal cable( they cut one block of wires) in the beginning then I bought a new used ecu with one terminal wire cable. I don't if this may happen with the connection or with heat or water, because the ecu was left inside the wood with no proper protection or covered. it may get into contact with some water because I had to drive under the water one time. do you think geting into conatc with water may break it? what do you think?
Yes, contact with the elements may damage it. If it is missing factory covers/protection it will certainly have issues. What is probably going on is that you are using a used ECU that is mated to one key, and an ignition that is mated to another. You probably are locked out because you aren't using the key that ECU expects. When you change the ECU, you have to re-code keys. Also, once you start it, take it in for the latest software updates.
