I bought this car in Sept of 2009, and it had 38000 miles on it. The check engine light randomly goes on and off. Randomly, when accelerating, the car loses it's ummph and stalls out. Downshifting does not help. (Manuel transmission) I took it to a dealership who could not, in their words, replicate the problem be
cause the check engine light was off again. When the car stalls, it takes about 5 minutes to restart it The lights and radio do not turn off, so the battery is ok. This scares the crap out of me. I still owe $6000 on it. HELP!!

When the check engine light comes on, a code is stored and remains in the computer until it is erased, so when you took it to the Dealership, did they check for codes and if so, do you know what code was stored?
It looks like you are having a few issues, but they may all be related. This is going to need to go to a shop that can diagnose and repair these types of issues. This vehicle is still fairly new, I would look into the warranty, it's possibly this is still covered under an emissions warranty.
As bad as this appears, getting the right person to work on this can more than likely return this to being trouble free, so I would take this to the Suzuki dealer.
I got my car fixed! My car would randomly shut down and power steering and everything turned off except for the radio, lights, ect. I had to get a NEW THROTTLE BODY because the sensor on the throttle body went bad and you can't replace the sensor you have to replace the entire throttle body! HOW FREAKEN STUPID IS THAT???? COST TO DO THIS --->$650 (this is including labor, but you can do this repair yourself) All you have to do is remove the 4 bolts on the throttle body and unplug the 2 hoses going to it ( do this quick and only a few small drops will leak out the hose. EASY to do cuz only a small amout of liquid can come out the hose at a time!!!!! Part alone cost $450. I also had to get me PCM replaced but that was covered by my warrantee
man oh man i have the same problem and believe me when i tell u this cars are a peace of shit . i bought mines in 2008 with 172 miles on it and whithin a few months the crankshaft sensor, motor mount, valve canister, miss fire, check engine light flashing and none of the mechanics have any idea on how to fix it and am still owe like $9,600 and the dealer fired almost every mechanic that worked on my car till this day it keeps doing the same thing. i think its just a bad desing bad everything.
