What is your question?
I have a 2006 Suzuki Forenza sedan and while it was up on the lift recently for a routine check the mechanic told me that both of the front shocks were "leaking" oil and that this in turn had started to cause play in the struts and the upper bearings as well. So as I understand it, in order to restore the steering/suspension I need to replace not only the shocks but the coil spring and upper bearings as well. For my warranty to cover these repairs it cannot be considered just a "wear and tear" issues,i.e., just worn out shocks--BUT rather it would have to be that to replace the shocks the whole "strut package" would have to be ordered--is this in fact the case? In other words its actually GOOD NEWS for me if they can't just order new shocks--BUT rather would have to order the whole "strut" package,i.e., coil spring et al. Can you offer any insights here? Many thanks in advance.

The macpherson strut is the dampening (shock) assembly that the spring mounts to and can be changed seperate of the spring, the bearing is what it all rotates off of at the top mount, these hardly ever go bad so do not think they are bad unless bearing is noisey or is hard to turn mechanism from seizing bearings. This is a wear and tear item and will likely not be covered by x-warr unless you have wear and tear coverage. Would have to physically break to be covered.
dash lights don't work even if I do have fuse in.Thinking time to trade in or junk out struts starting to rust through trunk anyway. Thank you for your help.
