what are the timing marks for the timing belt to be lined up right

we are replacing my timing belt, tension pulley and berrings and we need to know what are all the lined marks aree so the car is timed right.We thought we had it three different times it seemed right everything lined up but when we tried to start it it just turned over but wouldnt start like there was no spark
