Engine runs fine under load, but as soon as I let off the gas pedal engine idles hard. Recent timing belt, wires and plugs, and motor mounts.

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. My initial guess - having had lots of "recent" work - is that something isn't quite right with that. Idle concerns typically relate to engine speed related issues - is it idling too low in speed? Or it can be air / fuel mixture issues. Or I could imagine a spark misfire, such as questionable quality plugs and wires, or installation issues. If the timing is just a tooth off, you'll have all kinds of problems also. It's too hard to know without performing some much needed hands on testing. So I would suggest seeking guidance at a shop near you, where your vehicle can be evaluated and the engine performance troubleshooted to find the issue.
