What is your question?
The St. Cloud, MN Subaru dealership(#1) and the Brooklyn Park, MN (#2) dealership's 30,000 mile service are not the same price. The #1 (where the vehicle was purchased) charges $65.00 less than #2. But #2 seems to include extras that aren't mentioned in my owner's manual. Check the drive lines, the fuel lines, cooling lines, the transmission and the front & rear differentials. (and the V belt...that might have been mentioned over the phone by both dealerships) I am a single, senior woman on a limited budget. Other than refilling washer fluids, my auto mechanic skills are somewhat limited. My car seems to be performing properly...no strange noises or obvious issues. Is it best to include/pay for the #2 "extras" to be safe, or should the general 30,000 service be adequate to maintain the warranty for my 2016 Outback 2.5L Limited w/ navigation & eyesight?
What makes this problem better or worse?
The maintenance differences are confusing

Hello, great questions to ask. It's fantastic that you're reading and discerning those differences between what each place is stating. The truth, from my perspective, is that either place will perform the necessary maintenance on your Subaru. "Inspections" are typically part of maintenance service visits -- if the dealership service department is performing a "multi point vehicle inspection" those things will be checked. You can be sure that each service department will be keen to let you know if there are additional needs once inspecting your vehicle. It would be prudent for you to go to the St. Cloud dealership and ask them to do those additional inspections. They should do it at no additional charge -- and probably are doing it anyway. Maintaining your warranty is no issue at all -- either place will be adequate. Hope this helps - good luck!
