Why does my outback shutter and rattle upon acceleration at 20mph?

Subaru exhaust could be the cause. The exhaust has metal shields to cover from excessive heat, and these usually come loose over time. You can try getting a few clamps to quiet it down or take them of. Very common issue with most Subaru models.
