is the passenger side door lock/unlock switch suppose to be illuminate

Hello, The lock button may/may not illuminate, and normally they do. Some vehicles will only illuminate the lock button if the pressure sensor for the passenger seat senses a passenger, so try sitting in the seat with the car on, and maybe it comes on. If not, call the service manager at the local Subaru, or ask a sales associate if the showroom model has a light there.
