Are there recalls for bad exhaust system/catalytic converters?

I just looked my information doesn't show a recall but I have seen a few go bad and I know the OE cat from Subaru came down in price so they must know there are problems. Make sure the engine has no misfire or rich running condition which would damage the new cat, and make sure it is not excess oil consumption that has caused the cat to fail.
