What is your question?
This is a 4wd wagon. Pulled a code 35 yesterday on this vehicle after realizing the bulb for the check engine light had been removed. The main issue seems to be after driving for a little while the engine seems to lose all power and stutters until it finally stops. (Sort of acts like a stopped up CAT.)I then have to allow it to cool down for several hours before driving any distance(10+ miles). Code 35 is for a purge canister solenoid as far as I've found. Would this cause this issue or is it a separate issue? The check engine light has been turned off now after the diagnosis and hasn't come back on. Also the speedometer and odometer are not working, but the tach is working. There seems to be an adapter missing on the end of the cable that leads into the transmission. No one seems to be able to tell me what the part is though.

First and foremost I would disconnect the Canister Purge Solenoid, because if it is shorted it can damage or ruin your engine computer. I have also seen solenoids draw so much current that they can effect the correct function of the computer for the fuel injection, so disconnect the electrical part of the purge solenoid ASAP. Then drive the drive the car and see if there is any difference. If there is not, then do a fuel pressure test, to make sure that your fuel pump is strong and that your filter is not getting plugged,. How long since you last replaced your Fuel filter? These are some of the first steps that I would take, and yes get a new purge solenoid.
I will disconnect this in the a.m. I have a new one coming in tomorrow just in case. The fuel filter has just been changed as well as the plugs, wires, and a few other parts. Also have had a pressure test done and cleaned the MAF sensor, just for kicks. This seemingly small problem has turned into a large thorn. I have checked most fuses and relays that could be related as far as I know. I will update when I drive a bit tomorrow acoustically (unplugged) haha) Any suggestions on the speedo cable adapter?
