What is your question?
My heat / AC won't work (it doesn't turn on.. doesn't blow air at all). The problem is that the fuse for the instrument panel blows whenever I turn the heat on. So, the heat itself works, but I can't turn it on because the instrument panel doesn't work. I think it must be a short, but how would I find that short? I have a 2008 Subaru Impreza.
What makes this problem better or worse?
fuse blows whenever the heat or AC is turned on
How long has your 2008 Subaru Impreza had this problem?
A little over a month

Hello, this sounds like it could be a concern with part of the climate control system - most notably perhaps the blower motor circuit. The confusing part to understand here is that it's hard to know what component is blowing the fuse. Can you share the fuse number or the items the fuse pertains to? Finding a short is something that requires troubleshooting with diagnostic tools and perhaps a voltmeter / ohmmeter that can check for continuity and resistance in a given circuit. If you don't have experience with this, it's going to be something best left to a seasoned technician. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops Check that link for some shops near you to look at to find help.
