The driver's window switch stopped working, but the others still work. I bought and installed a replacement master switch, but it only clicks under the dash and no windows work. Thanks

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If your new master power window switch is just clicking under the dash and the windows aren't working, it sounds like there could be an electrical issue rather than just a faulty switch. Since the other window switches still work, it suggests that the problem might be isolated to the driver's side circuit. Here are a few things to check: 1. **Wiring and Connections**: Ensure that all the connections to the master switch are secure and that there are no damaged wires. A loose connection can prevent the switch from functioning properly. 2. **Fuses**: Check the fuse related to the power windows. Even if the other switches are working, there may be a dedicated fuse for the driver’s side window that could be blown. 3. **Window Motor**: If the switch clicks but doesn’t engage the windows, the window motor itself might be failing or have a short circuit. Since it can be tricky diagnosing electrical issues, if these steps don’t resolve it, consider getting a professional to take a closer look.
