I couldn't find a category that described the problem I'm having, which is...I have no odometer reading (it's black), and the tachometer and speedomer indicators don't move. I am interested in knowing what is causing the problem, and how much it will cost to have it repaired.

You may have a confused module, especially if the problem ocurred after a dead or weak battery condition. Try disconnecting the negative battery cable, then holding that disconnected cable to the (still connected) positive cable for 3 to 5 minutes. This will clear the memory. If it still doesn't work, a shop would have to do some in depth analysis to uncover the problem.
