What is your question?
A/C was not blowing cold air. I went under the hood and saw the belt for the compressor was gone. Maybe snapped off. I replaced it with a new belt. I turn A/C on but still no cold air. I tried recharging with refrigerant but as soon as I started adding it in there was an awful screeching noise. Now whenever I turn the A/C on, the car stalls. What's wrong?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when I add refrigerant
How long has your 2003 Subaru Forester had this problem?

Take it to an independent, local, trusted A/C-Radiator repair shop is the only way,we can't see it or hear it,or remove the belt, see if a pulley is locked up,something made that belt fly off! Turn the idler pulley by hand, maybe seized up?
