I have not seen a common problem there are 26 possible codes stored in a Safety Restraint Subaru system but a scan tool is required to retrieve the codes. There is one recall perhaps your car is covered, and a bulletin for pinched wires at the seat.

I had the same problem. There is a connection under the driver's seat that needs to be tightened by pushing the two pieces together until nice and tight. Good luck.

The problem is a lose connector under the driver seat, just push together. Driving with the airbag warning light on could be dangerous because the driver bad will most likely not work when needed.
