What is your question?
I have a 2001 Subaru Forester and the exhaust needs to be replaced. After driving for a few weeks I noticed the exhaust was getting louder. I went under the car and found 2 spots (just behind the cat, towards the rear of the vehicle and just before the muffler) where a high temp silicone was used to muffle the sounds of rust or holes. I am learning more about cars so I can repair it myself. I would just like to know the best exhaust (by brand and performance) to replace my old rusting one. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
What makes this problem better or worse?
Need a new exhaust
How long has your 2001 Subaru Forester had this problem?
Since I purchased the car (2 months)

IF the holes are small and not very large or very bad rusted, put some muffler wrap around the pipe. if it's rusted out bad, then take it to a trusted, independent muffler repair shop for best price. stay away from big brand name muffler shops.
