What is your question?
As I drive the noise increases with speed. Its a whinning noise. I'm assuming from the rear trans. Is it serviceable? How bad is it. Can I add or change fluid?

Check the rear differential for oil it uses 80/90W gear oil has a square plug as a level plug to check the oil level. That year range of Forester I have replaced a lot of rear wheel bearings, many fail and get noisy at 90,000 miles.
Fluid is good and clean. I will drain and refill any way. Thanks for the advice.
