It doesn't happen when I start driving. It takes a while before it happens.

It could be many things, unfortunately and without hearing the noise first hand or being able to do some basic diagnostic tests or be able to drive the car, its hard to say what the source of the noise may be.I have seen a lot of wheel bearings fail on the Forester, makes more of a rumbling sound increases when that wheel is loaded on a winding road.
It happens mostly when I brake or turn. There is a vibration in the front end like I am going over rumble strips. I am going to change the bearings and see what that does. Thanks.
