Lights on the dashboard! What do they mean?

Actually... I get this problem all the time, usually the day after putting gas in the car. Apparently there's a problem with the sensors that read whether the gas cap is on tight or not. NOT A BIG DEAL. A change in gas cap will fix the problem, but honestly, if you wait until the tank is about half full the lights go out and the problem 'resets' itself.

When this happened to me, an ignition coil had gone bad. Fixed under warranty.

Same thing happened to me recently. The dealership head mechanic said that when the ECM IDs a problem, the "check engine light" comes on and the ECM disables the vehicle stabilization control (VSC) and traction control (TRAC OFF). My code turned out to be a bad oxygen sensor. You will have to have a diagnostics done to read the code and figure out what your specific problem is. The VSC and Traction control are not an issue to run with on a dry road, only a possible problem in the rain or snow.
