What is your question?
My 09 Scion tC went into limp/safe mode. I drove it like that for a day being's I was far from home with few options other than to drive home. The car acted as lack of power I assume is safe Mode. Later that day the car died and wouldn't start. My friend an I attempted to push start it, releasing the clutch while in 2nd gear it made a Hard clunk noise so decided not to do that again. Then pushed the car to my house which wasn't far away at that point. I was told to replace the starter as I did it started to make a weird whine noise from the starter area. Battery has plenty juice jus don't understand what's the matter I've even tested the new starter and it spun an engaged. Is there anybody that has had the same or similar issues before?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Attempting to start multiple times got it to turn over very weak tho
How long has your 2009 Scion tC had this problem?
A month

It's going to be very difficult for us to offer any help here online - IF the starter is actually 'cranking ' the engine (engine is rotating) and it is making a whinnying noise - it's possibly caused by no compression as the result of timing chain failure. Of course *hands-on* testing by qualified personnel will be required to determine. GOOD LUCK!
