I had a new key made from the dealer for Saturn vue hybrid 2009.

I followed the instructions the dealer had printed out. I can't get the key out of ignition now. They told me to keep a battery charger on battery when programming the key to car. I don't think it worked. Now how do I get key out. Seems like the battery is dead as nothing lights up now.
