2007 saturn vue v6 shakes at highway speeds, steering wheel has a lot of play

What is your question?

anything over 80 makes the Vue shake/vibrate pretty bad, but it's not a consistent vibration, it i let off the gas and coast it dies down. the steering wheel also has a lot of play in it, probably a good 15 to 20 degrees to counterclockwise. related, the steering wheel only has play in it when it falls out of the groove, or after I've gone around a left turn. if i'm just going straight there's no play at first.

What makes this problem better or worse?

worse at higher speeds
