What is your question?
My engine light came on then engine light with a wrench and it goes into lim[p mode. Two codes came up P0700 and P0741. The car's in pretty good shape, I bought it for only 2,500, so I really don't want to put more than $1,000 in it.
What makes this problem better or worse?
it's usually the same
How long has your 2003 Saturn Vue had this problem?
A couple weeks

Sounds like a transmission related concern that will require troubleshooting. And honestly, I can't think of many repairs that would be less than $1,000 for these concerns. P0700 is a generic transmission fault code; P0741 relates to the torque converter.
.I had a used throttle body put in back then, now the check engine light is on again with these codes P2138, P0700, P1791 and also a shop pulled up this code, P1779. I couldn't pull up P1779. Then I was looking a diagnostic report I got from AAMCO back in September 2018, they had P1779, it said, Engine Torque Delivered to TCM Signal
It's P0791 not 41. Does that make a difference? Also, I ran the diagnostics at Autozone and at the top of their printout it said ASE certified Master Technicians have seen this issue on your type of vehicle and the most likely solution is: Repair the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Wiring. Where could I find a new or used one?
I'm sorry, P0791 does not exist for this vehicle. Honestly, Autozone and AAMCO are not qualified to figure out what's wrong on your vehicle. This is not simple stuff; it requires professional troubleshooting. That isn't typically "free". I understand you do not wish to invest much in this vehicle, but you definitely get what you pay for, so to speak. Seek professional guidance.
