What is your question?
Now when I try to start the Vue nothing happens for 2 seconds after i turn the key to start. The service engine light comes on and then the Vue cranks slowly one time. After to slow crank is done and then there is nothing for 1 second and then the Vue starts cranking faster. Its takes about 10 cranks before the Vue starts. The dummy lights only come on just before the engine starts. Its going to kill the starter and battery like this. After I run the Vue for a while and turn it off, it will restart but only with a couple of cranks. Wonder if some computer part is failing or a short?

I would first have the battery charged and tested, it has surely been changed since new but may be due again, when it is about to have difficulty starting try "jump starting" it off another car and see if it spins over faster and starts. Put a volt meter across the battery terminals with the engine off, at rest the battery voltage should be 12.6 volts if the battery is fully charged. Now get a friend to start the car while you watch the voltmeter, the voltage reading across the battery should read approximately 14.6 volts if the alternator is charging correctly.
You are 100% corect. The battery was almost 4 years old and I was going to replace it before winter. A new battery did the trick. Thanks
