passenger side door wont open from inside but opens from outside

Not a mechanic but door panel can be removed easily, about 3 screws, then pull and lift the panel. There will two rods attached to plastic part directly behind where the inside door handle is. Make sure they are both attached...you can move them toward the back and then forward while looking at the latch on door's edge to see if working. If not, probably the lower rod...look.. the latch that holds rod in place...it may not be closed..just swing it over rod and press down...rods pop in and out same way at both ends. Check the connections...rods rarely damaged unless door is damaged...if plastic pieces or latches on them broken, they are easily replaced at any junk yard or salvage cheaply...less than 3 dollars. I don't know IEverything pops out,pops in. There is a plastic sheet guard when you remove the door panel ...you may not have to even remove, if you have to, just gently grab the edge and pull,the seal comes off with it and you only have to press it back when finished. If child safety lock open door and find black and white label on inside edge of door, there is a raised white lock control wpith a slot...insert key or flat blade blade screwdriver and rotate the cylinder to the vertical (unlocked) position.

inside door release is broken. common failure. go to the dealer and purchase the part. some models you have to remove the door panel to replace. some you just remove a pop panel and it comes off easily. Roy
