What is your question?
I recently replaced the TPS in my sons 2000 Saturn SW2, and one issue was still happening. The car would turn over but would not start. After 10 mi. of sitting I was able to get the car restarted.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Only after the car has been running and is good and hot
How long has your 2000 Saturn SW2 had this problem?
A few weeks

Hello, why did you replace the throttle position sensor? It seems unlikely to be the cause of a no start concern that lasts about 10 minutes. When the problem occurs, is the engine at operating temperature, shut down, and then attempts to restart the engine happen? Or is it overnight on a cold start?
I'm sorry, forgot to mention that my son was telling me his car was acting "funny" so we had taken it out for a test ride, after sitting over night and the car did exactly what was described on this chat room as the TPS, replaced it, and took care of that problem. Now I'm at a loss on this issue. After taking the car on several short test rides, everything seemed to be going okay. So I took it for a longer ride, about 45 minutes through town, every thing seemed to be going well until I stopped for gas. Then the other issue of not starting showed up.
Honestly, there's no where to even start guessing at what might be happening with your vehicle. Do you have fuel pressure? Do you have ignition spark? Is the air intake secure - no un-metered air leaks, no restrictions? I'm really sorry to say that chat room's and even this forum are no replacement for having a professional diagnostic test performed. The biggest trouble is that we can give you some advice based off of guesswork or educated guesses, but until a hands on diagnostic test is performed, you will be often throwing good money after bad. It's quite possible that the throttle position sensor never needed to be replaced. What if you have a wire harness or connector issue that you disturbed by replacing that sensor, only to have it "fixed" briefly and now failing to start? You have way too many components in play here to make guesses based off of this forum or chat. Having answered questions in this forum for about 10 years now, I can tell you that hundreds of folks have replaced parts without cause -- and in many cases make problems worse because they disturbed something that was functioning properly and even installed a substandard part. We all try to save dollars and cents, to be sure, but you absolutely get what you pay for. It's most important to establish a relationship with a shop and technician near you who you can trust and can help you first hand with your concerns. Definitely wish you best of luck in resolving your concern!
