Why does the alarm stay on when I shut off car, remove key and open door?

What is your question?

Alarm comes on when opening door even after being locked up over night... engine light is NOT on. Dome light works properly. I suspect the ignition sw or is there a relay that may be stuck in the alarm position that is activated by the door light sw? I do not have an electrical diagram.

Not sure what you trying to say here. You drive the car, turn it off, park it, lock the door and the alarm goes off? Or all of that and the alarm goes off the next morning? If you are not turning off the alarm with the key in the door or a remote, the alarm will sound when opening the door. The alarm in this car arms itself each time the car is turned off.

Sorry for the confusion. By alarm I mean the ding ding ding that sounds when you leave your keys in the ignition or leave the lights on and then open the door. This happens even tho you remove the keys and turn the lights off. Thanks, Mark
