ignition switch replacement

What is your question?

I have 210,000 miles on car, must turn key in lock some times up to 8 times for car to turn over. Appears to be worn ignition switch. *can tumblers just be reset & what would be cost? *What would be cost to replace the ignition switch? *Has this car ever been recalled for this problem?
