What is your question?
I don't know if it is a DOHC or the shoc BUT WHERE IS THE ENGINE COOLANT SENSOR LOCATED ON THIS CAR AND IS THE NEW BRASS TIPPED ONE MUCH BETTER i WANT TO CHANGE IT ON MY sl2 2000 Saturn - problems with high idle, heating up coolant light on and Engine cooling fan not kicking on. But first I want to add Refrigerant someone said that was the place to start. Its a great car got over 248000 miles on it. Three teenage nephews and my brother drove it. The nephews were really tough on it. Thanks for the help.

Coolant Temp Sensor(s) are located on the cylinder head. Remove the plastic tube from the throttle body and air filter. The sensors will be located between the battery and engine. Upper sensor will have a green wire and lower will have a yellow wire. Pinch the connector tabs to remove connector from sensor. Remove the coolant cap to release the pressure. Use a 13mm deep sockets to remove. Plasic style sensors commonly cracked on the tip and caused various conditions. ~Note corrosion is common between the sensor and connector. Replace the connector if corrosion is noticed.
