Why does my car run fine but when in park or trying to start it struggles

What is your question?

It started fine in the morning, when i was about to put in park i could hear it revving up and down. Now when i try to start it it takes a few seconds longer to turn over and after starting makes the same sound and acts as if it’s going to shut off
