What is your question?
I am adding oil 1 quart every time I get gas. It isn't showing anything out the exhaust and there are no leaks to be seen. I was told these engines are notorious for burning oil - any suggestions?

perform a compression test each cylinder should be around 185 psi. If one or more is off mostlikely the piston rings are sticking due to carbon. engine will have to be rebuilt with new rings and seals.
I own THREE Saturns. 1997 SL2, 2000 Saqturn LS, 2002 Saturn SL. This is a common problem among Saturns. They have a propensity to carbonize the rings. When this happens the rings don't float like they should and provide a good compression seal. I have found that just by adding "Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant" to your fuel every time you fill up will take care of the problem. Don't expect immediate results. It will take two to four tankfulls to start showing a result. With continued use compression will improve and oil-burning will reduce. No, I do not get any kind of re-imbursement for endorsing their products. Saturn Freak
