There is a special tool needed to compress the valve springs. This can be a complicated procedure for those who have not done it before. You will need to pressurize the cylinder with air before you remove the valve springs. If you do not when you remove the valve spring and keeper the valve may fall into the cylinder! You may wish to get some help from someone who has done this before.
