Well, if it won't engage, have to pull the starter motor out and have it tested. Probably need to replace it.
Had same problem. Tested battery, alternator, starter, solenoid, ignition switch, replaced neutral switch (for automatics the dealership has it listed as clutch interlock switch). Last mechanic had it pushed to pop into gear and it started. Whichs comes to conclusion the clutch isnt engaging on its own. Now having to replace clutch. Regardless of what others may think its not fuel pump. Car would still turn even if pump is broken.
