What is your question?
Low fluid indicator keeps coming on after I have filled all fluids. We cannot determine where a leak is but the antifreeze seems to disappear
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's been cold weather so nothing makes it worse or better. The car can be cold and the light comes on even right after filling fluids
How long has your 1999 Saturn SL1 had this problem?
1month

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If you've topped off all the fluids and that pesky low fluid light still comes on, your 1999 Saturn SL1 might be dealing with a faulty coolant level sensor—they're known to stick or fail, especially with age. It's located in the side of the coolant reservoir, and if it's gummed up or shorted, it'll keep triggering the warning even if the tank is full. Now, the disappearing coolant is a separate concern. If there’s no visible leak, it could be evaporating through a small crack in the reservoir, leaking internally through a bad head gasket, or even sneaking out through the heater core. Check for white smoke at startup, sweet smells inside the cabin, or coolant residue around the reservoir and hoses.
