Gas spraying out (under driver side, maybe) when car is started on

Sounds like a fuel line or hose has broken. This will need to be inspected by a technician and you should not drive or run this car at all until it's repaired. Best bet is to disconnect the battery and have it towed to a shop. They can quote you once they find out exactly what's leaking.
