Does 02 SC-2 Sat trannys have bands that can b adjusted & screens to be cleaned?

Half the time it hits a little hard when going in reverse, also delays. Usually stops for a couple years til I get the fluid changed again but didn't stop this last time. Maybe they didn't clean the screens this time (if any) or adjust bands ( if possible).
What makes this problem better or worse?
The more I press on the gas the more it hits hard
